On Day 49 I shared the logo I had designed for TVLens: a single line from the T to the V. Until today it only lived in a design file. The app and the site still spelled the name out in plain letters, a placeholder that was never meant to stay.
Now the mark is on both. It’s in the nav bar, on the home page of tvlens.org, and in the browser tab.
Two small things I cared about. The mark is exactly as tall as the word LENS next to it, so the two read as one name. And it uses the same two colors as the rest of the site, so if the colors ever change, the logo changes with them.
One thing I didn’t expect: the old placeholder was invisible to screen readers. Someone using one heard nothing where the name should be. Now they hear “TVLens.”
It’s the last thing I shipped before work on TVLens slowed down.
